Justin Bieber knows what he likes, and he rarely deviates from the same basic pieces. Barring the odd Phish concert, that means plain T-shirts, jeans scrunched up against big sneakers, leather jackets, vests, baseball caps, a few chains and big black sunglasses. Wash, rinse, repeat.

A BASEBALL TEE

When he’s not wearing a simple black or white shirt, Justin favors its sportier sibling the baseball tee. They’re inexpensive and pretty much go with everything, so feel free to pick up a few. Alternative Apparel, American Apparel and Old Navy all carry the iconic style.
WHITE PANTS

Young pop stars don’t have to worry about spilling ketchup on their favorite white jeans. They’ll just buy another pair. You, on the other hand, should look where you sit. Despite the risk factor, white pants are worth looking into—and not just because they’re a Bieber standby. They look fresh with chambray button-downs, gray sweaters, even black tees.

A DENIM VEST

A denim vest channels a certain bad-boy greaser vibe that Justin’s really liking right now. Pick up one from Levi’s, RVCA or Guess? and toss it over a hooded sweatshirt or a jacket for a super-easy, stylish look.
A BLACK LEATHER JACKET

This is the biggest Bieber back-to-school investment, and the most worthy. Pick an unadorned style and you’ll be able to wear it for years. These, by Jean Shop, J.Crew and ASOS, all fit that criteria.
A BACKPACK

Justin’s preferred man bag of choice is a backpack, which you can see him toting around when on tour. Sometimes he’ll wear a basic nylon pack, but he also has a taste for luxury. Evidence: the MCM coated canvas style he’s wearing in the photo retails somewhere in the neighborhood of $800. He also has it in white. You can copy him almost directly with their studded version, which is available now at Saks. This Topshop bag is also pretty cool, and comes in Justin’s new favorite pattern, camo. Or you can go classic with a JanSport—they’re now offering their iconic bags in all sorts of Fun colors.
