2 Chainz came out for his first VMA performance in a burst of fireworks and dressed as the fourth, evil member of Run D.M.C., turning in a spirited performance of “Yuck.”
But the performance didn’t get off the ground until little ball of energy Lil Wayne rolled in like Meatloaf in Rocky Horror, taking control of the collaboration. Wayne tonight was probably the least technically proficient rapper the VMAs have ever had (we’re pretty sure he was lip-syncing the vast majority of it) but really, when he’s that frenzied, does it really matter? When Rocker Wayne capped off “No Worries” with a massive stage-dive, he just might have made up for all of Rebirth,
